Beryllium copper alloy has excellent comprehensive characteristics such as high conductivity, high elasticity, non-magnetic properties, and no sparking when subjected to impact. Nickel and beryllium can form two compounds, NiBe and Ni5Be21. NiBe is an ordered body centered cubic lattice with a nickel/beryllium weight ratio of approximately 6.38 and high microhardness. Common Ni containing beryllium copper alloys include QB2.0, QB1.9, C17510, C17530, etc. Due to the important role of Ni in improving the properties of beryllium copper alloy, it is crucial to study the influence of Ni on the microstructure and hardness of low beryllium copper alloy ingots.
